Mary Madrid
Ceniceros
Apr 7, 1950 — Jul 27, 2026
Odessa, Texas
Mary Madrid Ceniceros, 76, of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, with her loving family by her side. She was born on April 7, 1950, in Toyah, Texas, to Juan and Donicia Madrid. She lived a life centered around love, family, and caring for those around her.
Mary was many things to many people. To her sons, she was a devoted and loving mother. To her neighbors, she was the neighborhood watch, always looking out for everyone and never missing what was happening around her. To others, she was someone they could depend on, always willing to provide a helping hand whenever it was needed. She wore many hats throughout her life, but none brought her greater pride or joy than being a mother. Her sons were the center of her world. She loved them with all her heart and never missed an opportunity to remind them how deeply they were loved. Her family always knew they could count on her unwavering love, guidance, and support.
Mary had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room, but she was also known for being honest and straightforward. If she had something on her mind, she wasn't afraid to say it. Some described her as "old-fashioned," but those who knew her best understood that she simply believed in treating others with respect, having good manners, and doing what was right. She also had a remarkable intuition about people and the world around her, often sensing things long before anyone else did.
One of Mary's greatest joys was bringing people together. She loved spending time in the kitchen preparing meals and hosting cookouts where family and friends could gather, laugh, and make memories. Her home was always a welcoming place, filled with good food and even better company.
Mary also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, CiCi, who was spoiled beyond measure and loved just like another one of her children.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Juan (Angelica Olivas) Ceniceros and Roy Pope; her brothers, Jose Madrid, Robert Madrid, and Mike Madrid.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Donicia Madrid; beloved son, Paul John Ceniceros; her brothers, Juan Madrid and Manuel Madrid; and her sister, Ylda Madrid.
Mary's love, strength, honesty, and unwavering devotion to her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she created and the love she shared will remain a lasting source of comfort for generations to come.
