Joseph Hayden Gott, 50, of Odessa, Texas, passed away in Odessa on June 22, 2026. He was born in Tulare, California, to Larry Richard Gott and Sharon Gale Medders Gott on January 30, 1976.

Joseph was a man defined by his incredible work ethic, unwavering faith in God, and deep devotion to his loved ones. He possessed a generous spirit and a compassionate heart, always showing immense empathy to his family and the close friends who became his chosen family. A true individual, Joseph remained authentic to exactly who he was and had a profound passion for music that brought him joy throughout his life. He will be remembered as a fiercely protective family man, a tireless worker, and a generous soul who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Richard Gott and Sharon Gale Medders Gott, and his brothers, Jeff Duane Gott and Joshua Aaron Gott.

Joseph is survived by his children, Nicholas Hayden, James Lee, Jesse Gott, and Sharon Sosa; his grandchildren, Kayden Corter, Judith Gott, and Jadon Lee; his sisters, Jackie Dean, Helen Armstrong, Gatha Sicks, Terri Staton, and Freann Gott; and his brothers, Seaborn Gott and Jess Gott.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Martinez West Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Kennedy, James Kennedy, James Kennedy Sr., Jesse Gott, Nicholas Hayden, Richard Armstrong, and Jayden Sosa.

Memorials may be made to the family's funeral fundraiser.
