Obituary

Manuela Galindo Gomez, 91, of El Halcon, Chihuahua, passed away on June 27, 2026 in Odessa, TX in her home surrounded by many of her loved ones.

Manuela was born in El Halcon, Chihuahua to Eladio Galindo Venegas and to Sara Olivas Galindo and was born on August 20, 1934.

Manuela married Antonio Gomez in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, where they began building a life together. During their time in Arizona, she worked in agriculture with unwavering dedication and a strong work ethic.

She was especially known for her delicious home-cooked meals and her homemade tortillas, which brought family and friends together around the table. Manuela was a strong-willed woman with a vibrant personality, and she was rarely seen without the beautiful jewelry she loved to wear.

Above all, she was a devoted grandmother. The countless memories she created with her grandchildren are treasures they will carry in their hearts forever. Her love, strength, and legacy will continue to live on through all those who were blessed to know her.

Manuela is preceded in death by her parents Eladio and Sara, her husband Antonio Gomez and by her Middle son Jesus Antonio Gomez.

Manuela is survived by her 2 sons Baldemar and Homero Gomez, 9 Grandchildren Jesus Antonio Gomez Jr.(Chino G), Yesenia Gomez, Valdemar Gomez, Alexsandra G. Melendez, Janette Villa, Anthony Gomez, Sabrina Oscar, Adam Gomez, Stephanie Gomez , 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jesus Antonio Gomez Jr.(Chino G), Valdemar Gomez, Anthony Gomez, Adam Gomez, Victor Villa Jr., and Jayden Gomez.

Memorials may be delivered to Martinez Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 from 11am-9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Martinez Funeral Home in the Inside Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at St Joseph Catholic Church at 10am. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery in the Los Angeles Section.
