Obituary

Miguel Corrales Smith, age 63, was greeted by the Lord with open arms and passed peacefully on June 27, 2026. He was born on April 10, 1963, to Warren Smith and Ernestina Quintala Corrales.

Miguel was a man deeply rooted in his faith. He prayed and spoke with God every day and faithfully read the Bible, striving to inspire others by living as the embodiment of a good and holy man. He believed wholeheartedly in forgiveness and always sought the good in everyone he met. Miguel did not create enemies; instead, he formed lifelong relationships and built a legacy of love, kindness, and faith that will continue to live on through all those he touched. A very hardworking man, Miguel was always willing to help others in any way he could. His selflessness and dedication to those around him were hallmarks of his character. He was also a devoted sports fan, proudly supporting the Tennessee Titans and the San Antonio Spurs. Above all, Miguel was a family man. He created something truly special with his beloved wife, Margaret. She often shared that Miguel was braver than David facing Goliath, wiser than Solomon, more faithful than Peter, and as patient as Jobe, words that beautifully reflect the strength of his spirit and the depth of his devotion.

Miguel is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Gochicoa Smith; his son, Eric Smith; his daughters, Gabriana Yvonne Smith and Kassandra Smith; his sister, Teresa (Felipe) Moncada; four cherished grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Ernestina Smith; his brothers, Ismael Corrales, Gabriel Corrales, and Tommy Smith; and his sister, Yvonne Corrales.

Miguel Corrales Smith will be remembered for his unwavering faith, generous heart, and the profound love he shared with his family and community.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Martinez West Chapel. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., also at Martinez West Chapel. Burial will follow the service.
