Raul Hernandez Palma Jr. April 18, 1963 – January 8, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Raul Hernandez Palma Jr., who left this world on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on April 18, 1963, Raul lived a life defined by love, strength, and a fighting spirit that never faded. Raul was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a big heart but was tough when it mattered. He believed deeply in being proud of who you are and never caring what others think. He taught his family to stand strong, be honest, and always be “straight up.” Raul never beat around the bush whether you needed tough love or a gentle word, he gave advice from a place of deep care and truth. He was endlessly proud of his children and grandchildren and loved bragging about them every chance he had. Raul was known for his long lectures, often lasting hours but they were filled with lessons, love, and unforgettable conversations that his family will cherish forever. Those long talks, his voice, and his guidance are missed more than words can express. Raul was a fighter in every sense of the world. He faced cancer with incredible strength, courage, and determination fighting until the very end in a way that amazed everyone around him. Even during his hardest days, his spirit never dimmed and always kept a sense of humor everyone loved. He loved music and could always be found jamming out, dancing, or “groovin,” even in the hospital, reminding everyone around him of his unstoppable spirit. One of Raul’s greatest joys was fixing up old cars. He loved working with his hands and restoring classic vehicles, spending countless hours bringing life back into them especially classic models such as a Monte Carlo and a Cutlass. It was more than a hobby; it was a passion and a reflection of who he was. Raul is survived by his loving children, Jeremiah Lopez, Janie Cervantes, Jackie Lopez, Raul Palma III, Selena Lozano, and Cassandra Gutierrez. He is also survived by his brothers, Saul Palma, Carlos Palma, Jamie Palma; step brother, Raul A. Palma; his grandchildren; nieces and nephews; extended family members, and many friends whose lives were forever touched by his love, strength, and authenticity. Raul is preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed him home with open arms.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Ray Lopez, Raul Palma III, Jeremiah Lopez, Vincent Lopez, Raul Cruz Palma, Christina Espinoza.
