Ray Mercado
Rede Jr.
Jun 29, 1970 — Jul 8, 2026
Raymundo Mercado Rede Jr., age 56, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1970, in Bonifay, Florida, to Raymundo Rede and Socorro Rede.
Ray was a man with a magnetic personality whose warmth and charisma naturally drew people to him. His friendly spirit, genuine kindness, and welcoming smile made everyone around him feel like family. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, never hesitating to support someone in need. His compassion and generosity touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ray had a deep appreciation for animals and the beauty of nature. He found joy in the simple wonders of the world and wanted others to do the same, to recognize the goodness in life, cherish each day, and embrace the time they were given on this earth. His love for nature was beautifully reflected in the remarkable garden he created at his home, where every flower, tree, and plant stood as a testament to the peace and happiness they brought him and everyone who visited. He believed that nature had a unique way of bringing comfort, beauty, and joy to people's lives.
An adventurous soul, Ray loved traveling with his beloved husband, Peter. Whether they were setting sail on a cruise or making memories together in Las Vegas, every trip was another opportunity to enjoy life side by side. Their love story was one of unwavering devotion, friendship, and partnership, spanning 32 wonderful years.
Ray was also known for his incredible work ethic. He dedicated his blood, sweat, and tears to Walmart, beginning his career at just 16 years old. Through years of hard work, determination, and perseverance, he continually sought opportunities to grow within the company, earning the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him.
Above all else, Ray's greatest joy in life was his husband, Peter. The love they shared was the foundation of his life and a beautiful example of commitment, loyalty, and unconditional love.
Ray is survived by his loving husband of 32 years, Peter Eisele; his sisters, Sylvia (David) Hickman and Gloria Rede; his nephews, Francisco (Georgina) Franco and their daughter, Penelope, William (Alex) Carpenter, and Wray Carpenter; his nieces, Carissa (Donevin) Rede-Deloof and their newborn son, Malachi, and Christoni Carpenter; and his beloved Walmart family, who will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and friendship they shared with him.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, generosity, and love. Ray will be deeply missed, but his joyful spirit, compassionate heart, and the beauty he cultivated in both nature and the lives of others will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
