Obituary

Isaac Carrillo, 28, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2026. He was born on January 1, 1998, in Odessa to Christina Pinot and Gabriel Carrillo.

Isaac lived life with a full heart and an unmatched work ethic. He was many things all at once, a student chasing his dreams, a hard worker, a dedicated coach, caring son, and above all, a loving father. His days began before the sun came up and often didn’t end until it went down, spent either with his family or surrounded by the soccer girls he coached and cared for so deeply.

Soccer was more than a sport to Isaac; it was a way to lift others up. He was a constant presence in the soccer community, always smiling, always encouraging, and always pushing his players to believe in themselves. He didn’t just coach the game; he taught confidence, kindness, and heart. The impact he had on the young girls he coached, and the pride he took in watching them grow, will never be forgotten.

When Isaac wasn’t on the field, his world revolved around his family. He was a devoted and loving father and a deeply caring fiancé to Kayla Galindo. Family meant everything to him, and he never missed a chance to say “I love you” or show up for the people he cared about.

Isaac was incredibly proud to earn his associate’s degree in Business Leadership and Management from Odessa College, a milestone that reflected his determination to build a strong future for his family.

Though his time with us was far too short, Isaac filled every moment with purpose, love, and generosity. His legacy lives on in his children, in every player he coached, and in the countless hearts he touched. He will forever be remembered for his smile, his encouragement, and the love he gave so freely.

He is survived by his children, Aniyah and Dominick Carrillo; stepchildren, Xyla Sims and Xavian Galindo, parents, Christina (Lesther) Pinot, and Gabriel Carrillo; brothers, Josiah Mora and Jose Mora Jr.; sisters, Danielle Carrillo, Caroline Carrillo, and Madeline Carrillo; and grandparents, Celia and Miguel Mendoza, Maria Carrillo and Richard Fino, and Rudy Carrillo.

He is preceded in death by his loving fiancé, Kayla Galindo, Miguelito Mendoza and Rudy Carrillo Jr, cousin, Mark Anthony Salazar, and great grand mother, Antonia Chavez.
