Obituary

Kayla Torres Galindo, 30, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on June 15, 2026, in Denver City, Texas.

Kayla was born on August 1, 1995, in Odessa, Texas, to Alicia Torres and Luis Galindo. She attended Odessa High School in Odessa, where she formed many lifelong friendships and memories.

Kayla began her career as a Pharmacy Technician at Walmart and through her hard work, compassion and commitment to serving her community, she continued her career at Texas Oncology, where she was deeply valued by her patients and coworkers. Her caring nature, bright smile and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Kayla had a deep love for reading and found great joy in sharing that passion through a book club with her friends and coworkers. Whether she was lost in the pages of a good book or spending time with those she loved, Kayla brought warmth, laughter and kindness wherever she went.

Above all else, Kayla's greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, fiancée and friend whose love was unconditional. Her children were the center of her world and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Kayla was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Lucia Torres; her uncle, Gerardo Torres; her uncle Reyes Galindo, Jr and her beloved fiancé, Isaac Carrillo.

She is survived by her cherished children, Xavian Galindo, Aniyah Carrillo, Xylah Sims and Dominic Carrillo; and her loving parents, Alicia Torres and Luis Galindo; her brothers, Kevin Galindo, Kelyan Galindo and Kalen Galindo; her nephews, Kayden Galindo and Kalyan Galindo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers and loved ones who will miss her dearly.

Kayla will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, her beautiful smile and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will forever be treasured, her love forever felt and her spirit forever carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The loss of both Kayla and Isaac has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of their family and friends. Though their lives were tragically cut short, the love they shared and the memories they created will live on through their children and all who were fortunate enough to know them.

Kayla and Isaac shared a special passion for soccer and were devoted members of their soccer family. Whether they were cheering from the sidelines, supporting teammates, celebrating victories, or simply enjoying time together with fellow soccer families, they built lasting friendships and treasured memories through the sport they loved. Their presence brought joy, encouragement and a sense of community to all who knew them. The bonds they formed within their soccer family will forever remain a cherished part of their legacy.
